Description:
     We are looking for a Lending Director located in our R.H. Scott Branch, just outside of the main gate of Malmstrom Air Force Base. Come and join the strongest progressive Credit Union in the area. 1st Liberty is a full service financial institution that offers a wide range of financial services; matching our members' needs with our products and services.

     Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: direct, oversee and implement all credit union lending programs and collection activities. This includes driving all aspects of lending and underwriting in consumer, indirect, mortgage and business loans. Oversees collection efforts, delinquency resolutions, recovery efforts and follow-up. Responsible for reviewing, recommending, preparing, and overseeing lending and collection policies and procedures ensuring staff and the credit union are in compliance with relevant regulations. Assists in maintaining the safety and soundness of the credit union.

Requirements:

  • Prefer a Business Administration/Financial Bachelor's Degree with 10 plus years of consumer loan underwriting experience in consumer, indirect, mortgage, and business lending, including participations with demonstrated progressive experience in management capacities within a Credit Union or financial institution.
  • Strong underwriting background in reviewing and strengthening Consumer, Mortgage and Business Loans with demonstrated levels of acceptable delinquency and charge-off ratios.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee all collections efforts including, but not limited to review of collection activity, execution of legal proceedings, proficient knowledge of collection practice and bankruptcy law, familiar with collection regulations in overseeing collection efforts, member workouts, repossessions, legal action and recommended charge off activity.
  • Must have the ability to build a strong Loan Portfolio.
  • Knowledge of credit union and/or financial institution operations.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of lending regulations, practices, procedures and credit scoring concepts.
  • Proven analytical, planning, leadership, organizational and training skills.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient application of Lending Compliance to include, but not limited to, Regulation Z, HMDA, RESPA, FDCPA, and Frank-Dodd Wall Street Reform Act, among others.
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills
  • Requires excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
  • Established aptitude for coaching, mentoring and developing of staff.
  • Flexibility to travel over night to various branch offices, if needed.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient knowledge of standard office equipment and Microsoft Office.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to lift 50 lbs


FT Member Service Rep/Loan Processor

Description:
     We are looking for a FT Member Service Representative/Loan Processor for our 10th Ave. So. Office, located in Great Falls, Montana. Come and join the strongest progressive Credit Union in the area. 

   You will be assisting members with all their account financial needs in person and over the telephone. These duties include, but are not limited to, the following: opening new accounts, providing account information, member account reconciliations, providing share and loan rates, processing various financial transactions, providing loan service to the member, processing loan documents, loan disbursals and loan payments, deposit verifications, backup loan duties, and matching our members' needs with the appropriate credit union products/services. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • College and/or comparable education preferred or a minimum of 1 year financial institution experience in the Member Service and Lending area.
  • Flexible with scheduled shifts
  • Must be able to relate to and like working with the public.
  • Must be able to cross-sell credit union services and products
  • Basic knowledge of standard office equipment and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent listening and written/verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational and multitasking skills
