Health/Dental Insurance

1st Liberty Federal Credit Union offers eligible employees health coverage through our Montana Credit Union Trust Group Benefits. The Credit Union offers the Agate Plan which is a high deductible health plan that pays 100% of employee medical expenses once they have met their annual deductibles. The plan also includes a Prescription Benefit Plan.

The Credit Union offers a Dental Plan to eligible employees. The plan currently pays 80% for basic services and 50% for major services of the covered expenses while the employee pays 20/50%.

Life Insurance

1st Liberty Federal Credit Union offers life insurance to eligible employees through credit union sponsored insurance. The benefit is one and a half times the employee's annual salary with an AD&D benefit. An additional $2000.00 life insurance coverage per person for spouse and children under 21 years of age is included. The total premium is currently paid by the Credit Union.

Long Term Disability

1st Liberty Federal Credit Union offers Long Term Disability Insurance to eligible employees through credit union sponsored Insurance. After 90 days of continuous disability, the employee receives 66 2/3% of their monthly salary (as specified in our plan documents) until no longer disabled or until employee reaches normal retirement. The total premium is currently paid by the Credit Union.

Health Savings Account

1st Liberty Federal Credit Union offers a Health Savings Account to all eligible employees. These accounts permit employees to allocate pre-tax dollars to pay for their incurred out-of-pocket medical expenses and qualifying spouse/dependent medical expenses. The credit union currently contributes $30 individual/$60 family each month into the employee’s account and in addition, matches dollar for dollar on the employee's contributions into their Health Savings accounts.

Employee Assistance Program

1st Liberty Federal Credit Union provides EAP for all employees. This is a 100% confidential, professional counseling service for up to 6 free face to face or teleconference sessions for a wide array of personal and/or work-related concerns.

Supplemental Insurance Plans

1st Liberty Federal Credit Union allows eligible employees to participate in credit union sponsored voluntary products, such as, Life, Vision, Dental, Short-term Disability, Critical Illness, Legal Assistance, Accident plans and more.

401k Retirement Plan

Eligible employees can defer a portion of their compensation into a 401K plan, after they have completed 90 days of continuous employment with the Credit Union on a quarterly basis. Participants shall be permitted to make elective deferrals in any amount from 1% to 25% of their compensation. The Credit Union may match a portion of the contributions any employee elects along with a discretionary contribution.

Education

1st Liberty Federal Credit Union offers a tuition reimbursement program for all eligible employees. This education includes courses offered by colleges or business schools and would embrace education specific to the employees position and knowledge of the credit union industry.

Free Rewards Plus Checking Account, no charge for personal checks (limited styles), free money orders, no charge for Credit Union checks, no charge for stop payment on personal checks, and a Sam’s Club Annual Membership at a reduced fee. 

Annual/Sick Leave

Full-time employees earn 10 days per year for annual leave and 6 days per year for sick leave. Part-time employees are pro-rated. Accruals increase with length of service.

Holidays

Full-time and part-time employees are offered paid holidays each calendar year.
