Description:

We are looking for a Collection Supervisor located in our R.H. Scott branch office, just outside of the main gate of Malmstrom Air Force Base. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: direct, oversee and supervise all aspects of the credit union collection activities, staff, programs, bankruptcy process and laws, and monthly reporting. Oversee collection efforts, delinquency resolutions, and recovery efforts to include collateral protection insurance, mortgage delinquency, mortgage hazard insurance and property tax assignments. Responsible for preparing and overseeing collection policies and procedures relative to compliance regulation, keeping management informed and assisting in maintaining the safety and soundness of the credit union.

Requirements:

  • Prefer a College degree and/or comparable education with 2 years of financial institution experience in collections or related experience and/or training.
  • Must possess good problem solving and mathematical skills, able to compute rate, ratio, percentage and interpret charts.
  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge to oversee all collections efforts including, but not limited to review of collection activity, execution of legal proceedings, proficient knowledge of collection practices and bankruptcy law, familiar with collection regulations in overseeing collection efforts, member workouts, repossessions, legal action and recommended charge off activity
  • Knowledge of credit union and/or financial institution collection operations
  • Requires interpersonal, analytical, planning, supervisory, organizational and training skills and ability to work professionally with the public
  • Demonstrated self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient application of Collection Compliance to include, but not limited to, Bankruptcy law, Fair Collection Practices Act and Uniform Commercial Code, among others
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Established aptitude for coaching, mentoring and developing of staff
  • Flexibility to travel
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality

We are looking for a Branch Supervisor for our Shelby Branch located in Shelby, Montana. Come and join the strongest progressive Credit Union in the area.

You will be responsible to supervise and direct the operations of a small branch for a full service credit union. These duties include, but are not limited to: overseeing operational, accounting, marketing and loan processes. Responsible for loan underwriting and lending decisions, building deposits and loan relationships, promoting sales of products/services, as well as retaining and building relationships with members. Recruit, hire, train, coach, mentor and supervising support staff. Monitor facility and equipment needs of the branch. Must possess strong analytical, computer, communications, planning and organizational skills, and be service oriented.

Requirements:

  • Business Degree or equivalent in business, finance, economics or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Two to five years of leadership and managerial experience.
  • Previous experience in a financial institution in a retail or consumer lending role preferred.
  • Solid understanding of state, federal and regulatory compliance related to consumer lending.
  • Ability to cross-sell 1st Liberty products/services as well as be able to mentor/coach staff.
