Description:

We are looking for a Comptroller located in our R.H. Scott branch office, just outside of the main gate of Malmstrom Air Force Base. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: oversee, plan, organize, direct and supervise employees and the accounting department. Responsible for all financial budgeting, statements, forecasting, business planning, GL reconciliation, direct investment and management of the corporate portfolio, ALM Profitstar preparation, daily/monthly/annual reports, policy/procedure review, analyzing risk, as well as cost/benefits of products and services of the credit union.

Requirements: * Prefer a CPA, BS/BA Degree in Accounting/Finance with 5 plus years of experience with general ledger, financial modeling scenarios, the ability to understand management’s business plan and assumptions regarding the range of possible future rate conditions.

Requirements:

  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills. Prefer experience in performing cost analysis of financial products and services.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and knowledge of Credit Union philosophy, operations, regulations, practices, policies and procedures. Must be able to close credit union books on a monthly basis.
  • Must be a teamplayer, have excellent verbal/written communication skills with strong managerial and interpersonal skills. Proven ability and willingness to train other staff as required.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision with previous experience demonstrating the ability take ownership of responsibilities and drive department successfully.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient knowledge of standard office equipment, Microsoft Office and ALM software
